Where is that old friend gone, lost in a February song?

So last night was interesting! A guy on 2nd floor (Billy) turned 21 – so we got him a stripper! She was kinda nasty, but it was still fun! :p
People here do not know how to hold their booze I can tell you that. They need to come to Sweden and learn how to actually be tipsy for 5-6 hours instead of getting wasted and as a consequence be throwing up 1 hour later. Feels like I’m fourteen all over again :p But they’re super fun and really good people and that’s what matters!

I’ve made an awesome friend here, Eric. He is so great. First of all – he proof read my history paper at midnight two nights ago, that is frickin” awesome. But exept for that, he’s just such a genuinly good guy. I’m really glad that I’ve met people here that I can actually talk to, I think that’s really important if I want to keep my sanity (or what’s left of it :p) intact for 4 more months. Especially those days when everything sucks, those days are when it” nice to have someone you can really talk to. (My history paper was really bad by the way, I don’t think my professor will like me anymore after reading it :p)

Oh! And I met a guy last night, Mike, and he looks a lot like Jocke (my friend who’s in Australia for another month) and his twin brother. (His brother’s name is Michael ironically enough), the major difference is that America-Mike has Italian features – but they’re still alike, it’s driving me insane! It just makes me miss Jocke even more (btw your name sucks in English, I’m sorry but it’s true :p).

On Thursday I went with Bethany and Delia and J-F to Bender Arena to – believe it or not – watch two former press secretaries talk. The first one – Dede Myers – was Bill Clinton’s press secretary for the first two years. She was actually really much fun and I enjoyed listening to her. Apparently she just wrote a book called Why Women should Rule the World and I definitely consider reding it. The other one – Ari Fletcher – was Bush’s press secretary for the first year (or was it two?). He was sort of boring, melodramatic and reeeeally liked himself. But it was still informative and I did learn things from both of them.
I just thought that while I’m here I might as well get some knowledge about stuff I wouldn’t otherwise.

People here are really involved in politics, and if they’re not involved, they at least have some knowledge, more than any of my friends do concerning Swedish politics. It’s just such a big part of life for people – especially here in DC – and I’m impressed by the fact that 20 year old girls and guys can have serious political discussions (while I look like a retard because I don’t understand anything). Maybe we should be more involved back home?

Now I really have to study, I’m gonna read On Christian Liberty by Martin Luther (but you probably already knew that) and then I have to start working on my psychology assignment.

Take care guys.
I miss you Swedish people.
Love
